Support Center Home
A hero search over your knowledge base, quick actions for opening a ticket or checking status, category cards and featured articles — instead of the default wall of text.
My Tickets
Customers get a clean ticket list with search, a help-topic filter, colour-coded status badges and pagination, plus a sidebar showing their open ticket count.
Ticket View & Reply
Ticket information, user details and the full conversation thread with attachments, followed by a rich-text reply editor with drag-and-drop file uploads.
Colour Patterns & Custom CSS
Switch between five colour patterns from the theme settings screen, or drop your own rules into the Custom CSS field. No core files are touched.
What Amber Changes
Everything your customers see, rebuilt
Redesigned Support Center
A proper landing page for your helpdesk: prominent knowledge base search, quick actions and category cards, so customers self-serve before opening a ticket.
Clearer Ticket List
Search, help-topic filtering, status badges and pagination — customers find the right ticket without scrolling through a plain table.
Readable Ticket Threads
Ticket and user information in separate cards, then a conversation thread with clear author blocks, timestamps and attachment chips.
Modern Reply Editor
A tidy rich-text toolbar and a drag-and-drop upload area, so customers can attach screenshots without hunting for a file input.
Five Colour Patterns
Forest & Amber, Plum & Gold, Teal & Coral, Slate & Copper and Charcoal & Rose — switchable in one click, plus a Custom CSS field for anything else.

Frequently Asked Questions
About the Amber client portal theme
Is this the same as the admin dashboard theme?
No. The Amber theme restyles the customer-facing portal - the support center, knowledge base, ticket list and ticket view. The dashboard theme covers the staff and admin panel. They are separate products and can be used together.
Does it modify osTicket core files?
No. Amber installs as a standard osTicket theme, so core files stay untouched and osTicket updates will not overwrite it.
How many colour patterns are included?
Five: Forest & Amber (the default), Plum & Gold, Teal & Coral, Slate & Copper and Charcoal & Rose. You switch between them from the theme settings screen.
Can I use my own colours?
Yes. The theme settings include a Custom CSS field where you can override any colour, font size or spacing value without editing a single core file.
Which osTicket versions are supported?
osTicket v1.17 and v1.18, the same as our dashboard theme.
How is it delivered?
The theme files and installation guide are sent to your PayPal email address within 24 hours of purchase.
Amber or the Dashboard Theme?
The two themes cover opposite sides of the same helpdesk. Amber restyles what your customers see: the support center, knowledge base, their ticket list and the ticket conversation. The osTicket Dashboard Theme restyles what your staff see: the agent dashboard, ticket queue, admin settings and configuration screens.
Both install in minutes, both leave core files untouched, and both work on osTicket v1.17 and v1.18 — so you can run them side by side for a consistent look end to end.
